The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini

First of all, I think this book made me realise why we need diverse book. The setting was unfamiliar, the language and the descriptions. Let me just say, I qas way too comfortable with white characters.
We read not only for leisure but to broaden our minds and it is a pretty interesting way to do so.

I got this book from dear OP, my class rep. I didn't know that this book is so old. I wasn't even in high school when it was published!

This book contains the usual drama of the servant and the master relationship. (the servant is actually his half brother, gasp. meh, it was kinda obvious)
I blame manga for this reaction.

However, I would like to say the reason I like this book so much was the flaws in the character. The imperfect character with jealousy and guilt festering in his heart. The reasonings behind their personality. The fact that nobody forgive so easily. And, nothing is ever easy.

Why, you may ask? Because, it's real. It's life.

P/S: I don't read this kind of book often. It dampens the spirit and makes me angry.

P/P/S: My eyes are swollen because of non-stop cry fest.
