Mainly I have been hearing bad things about this book in communities on here for months. So I am kind of worried that I too would hate it. However, I really liked it! I found it to be a beautiful (yet sad) book about a relationship between a father and son and how no matter what happens, to keep trying. That even when all real hope is gone, to keep going. Don't get me wrong, this book was very depressing and sad. If you want a happy book with a happy ending, this book is def. not for you.

The only reason that this book was given 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the writing style. I wasn't crazy about it but it didn't bug me enough to stop reading it or to dislike it. So if you have been curious about reading The Road, go for it. In my opinion, it's not as bad as people have tried to make it out to be.
