This book broke me, but in the best way. Nia's journey is such a relatable one. For anyone who has hidden that part of themselves, this story will hit home pretty hard. I did not predict how this story would end. It's not a love story. It doesn't have an HEA, but the ending is fitting and still feels right. I felt emotional but oddly satisfied. Santana Knox did an amazing job with sprinkling in little hints of the truth that you don't realize until the ending hits you like a Mack truck. This story is therapeutic, real, and so raw. I fell in love with this so easily, and literary fiction isn't always my jam. This one will stick with me for a while, and I highly recommend anyone and everyone to check this one out.
