This book should have been shorter. 3.5 rounded up to 4.

- The first half was so much work building with completely nonsensical terms and creatures and it was so difficult to follow. I truly was confused for so long
- The second half was fast and exciting and I loooooved the dynamic between Raeve and Kaan
- So many mind boggling things revealed that have me VERY excited for the next book
- I just wish the world building was a little easier to follow because I can tell this author has created a wonderfully detailed world
