Oh, I enjoyed this so much. Dallas Wilde is such a beautifully chaotic disaster, and I loved it. His antics provided great entertainment. The plot was interesting, and the world-building was definitely intriguing. I really like how Maz Maddox approached what we know of vampires and made it their own. I was hooked by the adventure and stayed for the even more interesting characters. Dallas is a great MC to experience the story through. We also have his vampire Thrall, Zane, whose dry sense of humor spoke to me. He should get a gold medal for the amount of patience he has for Dallas' shenanigans. We also have the mysterious Sias. The incubus friend with benefits of Dallas, who brings on Dallas to investigate for him. Then, oddly enough, we have the sassy betta fish, Kevin. Who knew a fish could become such a fun side character. All in all, this was a great time and a great introduction to this trilogy. The adventure is great, the humor had me laughing, and the characters are just so interesting. I'm definitely looking forward to reading the next book.
