TW: SA, cannibalism, animal cruelty

Wow. I’m literally shooketh. My god was this book amazing. I’ve never give much though to cannibalism and this made me think of it in a new way. More so as necessary (loosely) for survival rather than as some weird fetish.

The level of detail Agustina put into creating this dystopian world and how the population adapted to human meat being the only way to consume meat is absolutely incredible and only a little bit concerning.

This book had me hooked from the very beginning. The concept of animal meat not being consumable anymore and the natural shift to now start farming and eating humans is disturbing and fascinating. I was invested in the story, even if at certain parts I had to take a breather because my stomach was turning.

And that ending. Wow. I absolutely did NOT see that coming. I read the same 2 pages over and over again for 5 minutes straight trying to make sense of what was happening.

I would 10000% recommend this book if you love fucked up stories, horror, and gore. If you don’t, don’t even open this book-you will hate it!
