It’s got Get Out and Ready or Not vibes, with a sprinkle of Knives Out and a twist of H.P. Lovecraft.

Just an absolutely incredible book. I loved the entire thing (I just wished that the dialogue when they were speaking Spanish was written in Spanish!). I had no idea what to expect, but I definitely was not expecting this treasure. I’m upset the surprise is forever ruined for me now that I’ve completed it but wow. I love the setting and the Noemí is an incredible female protagonist.

I was constantly on the verge of my seat wonder what was going on and whether Noemí was experiencing something real or not (my worst fear). My FitBit literally registered my racing heart as exercise. This was the first new book I’ve read in 7 years. It took me a while but once I got half way (after 2 months) I decided to just dive in and finished the last half in a night. It got my groove back and I’ve been nonstop reading!
