I was fully prepared to give this 4 stars because this wasn't the kind of vibe I'm typically looking for... but then the last 25% had me giggling and screaming and now I'm here trying to stop smiling at how CUTE THIS IS!! 

This book felt different from other Ali Hazelwood books. It felt somehow a little edgier. I didn't dislike that, it just felt like a different tone to get used to. And boy oh boy did it work.

This is truly all smut and no plot. I mean very little plot. What plot there is though... I loved it. It was complicated and messy but led to a really wonderful resolution that had me grinning from ear to ear. I don't understand science or politics or finance and this had it all - and it still worked magnificently.
Rue and Eli are hot and messy and I truly loved being in their minds and watching this all unfold.

Wanna know if there's a third act breakup??

- THERE ISN'T!! I hate a pointless breakup just for the sake of book formula, and this gave me everything I wanted. Obviously there is some relationship tension based on the whole "is the feeling mutual" kind of thing, but it is NOT a breakup and it is actually handled in a really beautiful way. I'm still crying.
