I didn’t enjoy Archer’s Voice as much as everyone else, so I was immediately intrigued by what I would think about this one. While I did enjoy it more than Archer’s Voice, it didn’t completely blow me away.

I enjoyed Haven’s character. She is a complex girl, running as far and as fast as she can away from her past. Also being a plant-lover (even though I kill them, unlike her), I was immediately attracted to her. She has a quirky, loving personality. Travis, on the other hand, is still an arrogant a$$hole. His character wasn’t really “redeemed” until the end.

The plot was complete miscommunication, nearly the entire time (maybe it wasn’t for like 10% of the book). Haven and Travis both refused to reveal their true feelings for one another throughout the book’s entirety. This bothered me, I wanted the romance to kick in faster than the 90% mark.

As always, I loved Mia’s writing style. This is a main reason I’ll continue to pick her books up.
