I'm so gutted to have not enjoyed this geeky romance moreš
For me there were just too many red flags in this story, a lot made me feel uncomfortable. I think there was just too much focus on the separate characters' personal lives and a lot of time was spent apart and there was a lot less emphasis on the romance between the two main characters. This book is full of toxic family relationships, so this book wasn't the fun romance read I hoped it would be. Maggie in particular I had a hard time with understanding her character and personality.
To end on a positive, it was refreshing to read a romance from characters not in their early 20s like a lot of contemporary romance. Some of the writing I found cringy but there was some good humour and parts that definitely made me smile.
If you read this book I would recommend the Audible audiobook with dual narration which was performed brilliantly.
