I picked up this book as purely a cover buy, and unfortunately I wish I had at least looked at some reviews beforehand because this book really wasn't for me.
The most frustrating part of the story is there is a secret, and the only reason I did not dnf this book was to find out what it was... and it was never revealed. My disappointment is real! I don't mind a book being left with some untied ends but this was so central to the story, with our main character using it as fuel for every decision and mentioning it every other page.
I did enjoy some of the writing but when there are unlikeable characters and a very linear plot it wasn't enough to warrant the book any more than 2 stars for me. The chaos of the wedding was only part I found somewhat entertaining amongst a very bland book.
Obviously lots of mentions of food and EDs so I'd also recommend looking at content warnings if this is something you may be affected by.
