I was so pleasantly surprised by this! I randomly came across the author on TikTok and thought “hey, why not, I’m in a reading slump 🤷‍♀️.”

I loved the vocabulary in this and the author’s descriptive style. It wasn’t overly flowery, but it was still vivid.

The main character, Billie, is extremely relatable and the author did a good job of justifying any stupid decisions Billie made as a human—because they were made in desperation to find someone she loved. The devotion and loyalty between Billie and her best friend, Emma, was my favorite aspect of the book.

This is a quick read, but it DOES end on a cliffhanger. It was a perfect ending honestly.

I feel like a few things that were sprinkled in throughout the book weren’t explained, but they may be in book 2. I also wanted to see more depth in the MMC, Callum, so I am hoping that comes in book 2 as well.

I usually put my favorite quote here, but it would be a spoiler 🥲
