Overall, this is a thoroughly enjoyable read. Romeo and Jude are such loveable idiots. We experience the entire story from Jude's POV over a dual timeline. We get to see Romeo and Jude meet as children and watch as their relationship grows and evolves up to adulthood. Then we have the present, which is 5 years after Romeo and Jude became estranged. Jude has to return to his hometown and ends up facing his childhood best friend once again, who is now married. Their friendship was so pure. I especially enjoyed the past timeline story arc where we see their relationship begin. There is a little angst, but it's nothing over the top. And there is miscommunication, which I will admit I got annoyed with a bit. All in all, this is a decent and enjoyable read. I will honestly say, it's not my favorite that I have read from this author so far, but it's still a good time and I think it will definitely appeal to a lot of people.
