I loved a lot of individual aspects of this story. I loved seeing Dami again. I loved the bits we got to see of them in The Wicked Bargain, so I really enjoyed getting to see their own story. They are unexpectedly sweet and unapologetically genuine. Silas was also an interesting character. His and Dami's relationship was very interesting to see grow and evolve. The rep in this story is great. And we have a trans female character, with Marisol. While I liked her character, I didn't really see what purpose her frequent presence served to the story. She was a great friend, though. Even though I liked a lot of the individual aspects, all of them together just didn't help me connect well with the story. I definitely liked The Wicked Bargain more than this one unfortunately.
