Just This Once by Rosalind James
Did not finish book. Stopped at 30%.
Jesus Christ, who thought that it’s a good book to release?
The writing is extremely stocky and reads as something that teenagers would write. The scenes that play in Hannah's job are extremely unrealistic as if the other doesn’t have a clue about corporate work. The only accurate thing might be the issue of getting time off at an US American company. The sex scenes are so dry; the author managed to avoid mentioning any human genitals (the only actual thing mentioned are her nipples lol). The pacing up to 38% is so odd as well and the sex scenes are at the weirdest points.
The MC is "not like other women" because she’s hard-working and hasn’t had sex in three years. (She doesn’t do one-night stands but throws herself at the LI.) Of course, she doesn’t consider herself as beautiful while she’s beautiful. She has "special" hair, which is just silver-white, very long and fine hair, which is so different from all the other blonde women. Of course, she is an active woman as well so she can go hiking and swimming with the LI although none of these activities are special or difficult. It isn’t like they go bungee-jumping or skydiving. Of course, she feels bad whenever he pays for something (especially for the upgrade to business class for the return flight) but still allows him to do everything. Her independent streak got removed as soon as she met him.
Meanwhile the LI is so boring and stereotypical. Of course, rugby players are massive men but the description of him makes it sound like he’s even bigger than the average player and that the MC is a tiny, tiny woman because she considers that one of his thighs has the size of her waist. Of course, he was very sexual active with fangirls and models etc who throw themselves at him for sex but never do something with him or get to know him.
Extra ick: he grew up on a farm and watched with 15 years how a stallion breed a palomino mare (palominos are known for their golden coat and white/silver manes) and it impressed him so much that he developed some weird fantasy about it. Of course, the MC fits the role of the palomino mare with her special hair and her big bum (for whom she always got hate but the LI tells her he loves it, so she’s fine with it now).
