I’ve been in a very holiday reading mood this week, and what better way to round that out than with one of my most anticipated holiday releases of the year. The premise of this book stood out to me immediately, from the Christmas-themed amusement park to the MMC being Santa’s son. It was the pick me up I needed this week.

Ivy and Teddy are such a cute pair. You can’t help but root for them as Ivy discovers what it’s like to have a family-oriented Christmas for the first time ever and Teddy tries to find someone that will believe him when he opens about where he’s actually from and what the family business is. They both complement the other well and elevate each other’s lives in a positive way.

As someone that grew up in and lives in a place that doesn’t really get snow, it was fun to follow along as Ivy had an experience that would be similar to myself if I was in a winter wonderland for the holidays. I’ve been to places it snows, but something about the backdrop here made me want to curl up with a blanket and drink hot chocolate. I may need to head to a cabin up north to reread this one next year.
