an influencer wrote a book about an influencer who grew up with an influencer mom… and while a fascinating concept, it wasn’t quite the gripping thriller i hoped it would be. it is an intriguing commentary on the world of social media and how growing up in a highly-monetized, always-on spotlight can affect a young girl, and it definitely felt realistic and authentic, but it never quite had me as hooked as the premise prepped me to think i’d be. it took twists and turns i didn’t expect, for sure, but i wanted to be more invested, i guess? ⭐️⭐️⭐️ — i liked it, i just wanted more!!
