This was rather unexpected. While not a full-blown horror story, in my opinion, this has plenty of good twisty, spooky, and haunting vibes. This is the perfect spooky season read. This gave me similar vibes as Cemetery Boys, and I was here for it. The romance was super sweet, and the queer rep was super believable and relatable. I loved the balance between the magical plot, the budding romance, and the friendship that forms between our three main characters. I had a lot of fun with this one. Overall, it's a solid and entertaining read that I had a great time with. Also, the audiobook is amazing, and I highly recommend reading it that way if you can.
