The Umbra King by Jamie Applegate Hunter
Did not finish book. Stopped at 15%.
DNF'ed at 15% {~60 pages}
Why do I continue to listen to booktok and their recommendations? Thankfully it’s a KU book and I’m still on my free trial.
The writing is so stilted and it’s pretty much "She did this, then she did that and then this." without any substance behind it. Tons of descriptions that aren’t fitting or required. And my personal favourite: exact body descriptions of other characters including breast size and the size of their ass. No one would describe their friends like "she has small tits and needs to work in the gym for the bit of butt that she had" and if they do, I would question the friendship.
I have the feeling that the romance will include lots of bullying, tons of spices but no character development, and more senseless descriptions.
