Definitely my favorite out of the Guides for Dating vampires books but I haven't read the prequel novella yet.
The pacing was a bit better than the previous ones. It's very reminiscent of the previous two books where one of the characters has a secret that blows up on them which is always a bit frustrating. The difference for me is that there better progress throughout their relationship and the plot itself. The first two felt like things kind of dragged with a lot of introspection.

So one thing with DN Bryn's books that kind of bothers me, the representation is amazing to see but the execution is really lacking. Andres being an enby and Shane being trans and diabetic is cool. It doesn't add anything to the plot of their characters. So when the author brings it up, it's so overt and I'm not entirely sure why I'm being told these things.
I think it's great to have these characteristics but if they aren't going to do anything, why bring them up? They can just be.

I couldn't really tell you much about Shane and Andres. More than anything, Clementine and Justin felt like more solid characters. There's a dom/sub dynamic between Shane and Andres but outside of it, they were a bit lackluster.
In those moments, I felt like their relationship shined more just because chemistry made much more sense. The texts between the two of them were cute but it didn't necessarily feel romantic.

At the end of the day, I do think if you liked the previous ones, you'd like this one. If you didn't, you mightttt enjoy this one? If you hated them, then you won't enjoy this one.
