Really good book! When I first started it, I forgot that it was historical fiction and got very confused with how the author described one of the characters but once I remembered it was historical fiction it made WAY more sense. Overall, I really enjoyed it. The way the magic is explained, and the back and forth of perspectives really flowed and made for an enjoyable and cohesive story. I will say, I personally found the beginning kind of hard to get into but that could be the fact that I'm primarily a YA reader and this is adult. Overall though, if you like queer love stories, fantasy, and/or historical fiction, you're going to love this one.
