I really liked The House at Riverton, but I felt like this book was trying way too hard to be dramatic and suspenseful, like characters kept getting goosebumps and feeling ominous foreboding. It was very long and show, but then the ending felt rushed and took too many turns. I did really enjoy the setting and the plot generally.
