I need my (urban) fantasy main characters to have some kind of grip/understanding of their world/the mystery and their choices to matter. This did not do that.
In my opinion Dom was just dragged along by the plot. He did not grasp what was going on. Just followed Hollywood and his boss. Plus this really felt like it was written by someone who doesn't live in the UK/only visited London as a tourist.
