“Men have always been permitted in fiction and in life to simply be what they are, no matter how dark or terrifying that might be. But with women, we expect an answer, a reason.”
Maeve Fly by C.J. Leede
Narrated by Sosie Bacon
I went in with two thoughts on this book, this sounds like something totally for me and this books been super hyped up which always makes me worried.
Other than towards the end and the cover itself. The book was …. Fine.
It didn’t hold my attention at all, Maeve herself felt annoying and just doing things and saying things out of the “norm” for attention, like a pick me girlie that’s the only way I can describe it.
I just have a love / hate relationship with extreme horror, and for me this one didn’t do it. I’m not even giving a quick summary because so little happens within the book the synopsis is basically almost the entire story in less words.
