Foul Days by Genoveva Dimova

This book had me HOOKED from the very beginning, then it slowed down a bit which had me questioning everything. But then when things picked up, I was IN IT til the end
- The monsters here are super cool (although impossible to visualize for visual readers like me) and the monster guide in the back of the book is super helpful!
- The world building here is super interesting, it is dark and eerie, but so intriguing with the way the creatures exist and interact.
- I love Kosara and her very realistic approaches to conflict. She has a snarky attitude that is fun and relatable (even when the supernatural circumstances are far from relatable 😂)
- The plot is fairly easy to follow, I really enjoy the trajectory of the main conflict (and its many side conflicts that keep the story moving along)
- I do feel like pacing is a little off at times, there were definitely parts that were less exciting, but eventually everything did work well to build backstory and more world depth.
