“Hell is a state of mind, my dear. Reality is simply what we believe it to be."

Holy shit. Put this up there with A Brush With Love. I cannot express how much I loved this book. I had so many questions and had little to no answers until I was right on top of them. I typically am pretty good with predictions in books and while some of mine for this book were solid, I still missed a lot.

The Characters
Kayla: I was so proud of Kayla throughout the book. She was such a strong FMC who certainly did much better than I would have in her case with the exception of
her denial of ghosts.
That probably would have been the first thing my brain jumped to quite frankly.

Aiden: Aiden, oh baby, Aiden. I don't know that I have ever had quite as conflicting feelings about a MMC and still wound up loving them as I did with Aiden. Everything he did for Kayla just broke my heart, yet pulled me together at the same time. His love for Kayla gave me hope that maybe one of these days I'll find something for myself. Not many of these books have given me hope rather than a false set of standards, but here we are.

Things I Loved
I loved just about everything in this book. The twist was perfect, as was the chemistry between Kayla and Aiden. The side characters made me so happy and made my heart swell.

Things I Didn't Love
Quite literally the only complaint I had in the duration of this book was that we only really got to see Kayla and Aiden having sex and not truly bonding.

The Final Verdict
I will be shoving this book down the throat of everyone that I know. I truly haven't read a book like this in over a year.
This is what Layla by Colleen Hoover tried to be and fell short of. This was an amazing paranormal romance.
I truly cannot give this book enough praise. If the rest of J. T.'s books are anything like this, I believe I have found a new favorite author. Please do not walk, run to your closest store that has this book in stock and you will thank me later.
