This was such a cozy queer fantasy with so much emotion. I fell in love with this so easily. I may be a little biased because I can't help but love when I see my own trans experiences in the characters I read, which doesn't happen all that often. I love Silvyr. He is such a sweet character that I was easily able to relate to. The story is simple but so good. The relationship between Silvyr and Brokil was lovely to watch develop. I enjoyed myself so much from start to finish. The world the story is set in is so beautiful to imagine and felt immersive. I always love seeing how an author translates what we know about trans people and their experiences into another fantastical world. I loved this so much. This is easily another new favorite for me.
