This is aggressively okay. The story seemed like a bundle of different popular ya fantasy books. It was fun, but also far from revolutionary. I missed depth, especially in the world building. The characters, and particularly the main character, weren’t very interesting.
So in conclusion, it was enjoyable but could’ve been so much better.
