Transcendence by Shay Savage

4.5 stars
I am quite impressed with how Shay Savage managed to write a moving, heart-warming novel between a "Homo savage" and a 21st century woman without dialogue. I wasn't a fan of the cover, so I skipped it entirely when I looked through the Goodreads 2014 romance category nominees. But I read the blurb and some of the reviews, and I knew I had to read this anyway.
This book was just...everything. I don't even know how to properly describe it. I was hooked from start to finish.
Lots of sex, but it's all tender and slightly amusing as it is in Ehd's POV. All he knows is doggy, and he's constantly wondering what his mate is trying to do, or why she just won't let him put a baby in her yet. That's his biggest concern for the first half of the book. Putting a baby in her. And I say this not in a mocking or a "how dare this chauvinistic pig!" way, but in a "awww" way. He is literally a caveman. Times were different back then.
I do hope there is another book coming out, this time in Beh's POV. I'd love to know what she was saying, thinking, and feeling the entire time.
