The Last Devil to Die by Richard Osman
5.0
The fourth instalment in the Thursday Murder Club series, a series very dear to my heart and boy, this one has to top the ranking for me. Whilst I have really enjoyed the other 3 books, this one just had it all. It was flawless.
It had a fantastic mystery plot, that I found easier to follow than previous books, and it really kept me guessing the whole way through. But really, whilst the plot is entertaining, it really is about the wonderful set of characters that we have grown to love. I sobbed so hard reading this book, I don't think a book has ever made me cry as much. It was incredibly profound and really resonated with me. Richard Osman is a beautiful writer and demonstrates human connection so well.
If this is the final book, I can accept that as this has been an incredible finale but I do hope we get to see these characters again in the future in some capacity. I am very much looking forward to Osman's new project and hope it is as successful for him as this series is.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5
