The Seven Year Slip by Ashley Poston
5.0
I absolutely adored this book, the characters, the story, the concept. I ate it all up.
I took me so long to pick this up off my shelf - i really have no idea why. Once i did i will say it took me 2-3 chapters to get into it. BUT once i got to chapter 3-4 i couldn’t put it down.
The concept of this book is so fun. A magical apartment. It’s truly the epitome of right person, wrong time.
I adored Iwan 7 years ago and Iwan now. I just loved him so much. I did see it coming - i knew who he was and knew that’s what was going to happen but didn’t mind it. It didn’t make the story any less impactful.
I absolutely love how Ashley Postin approached grief and suicide within this book. It was handled with so much care and was real, raw and just so well done.
This book left me with so many emotions and it will absolutely be one i won’t forget.
I will not be reading all of Poston’s back list and she will absolutely be an autobuy author for me moving forward.
absolute perfection.
