Water Under The Bridge by Denise Stone, Kels Stone
Did not finish book. Stopped at 27%.
Extremely juvenile writing. Reminds me of how you might talk with friends and fanfics where it’s ok but I’m expecting more of a book.
And don’t get me started on the two MCs. Avery is the bubbly, sunshine one while Luca is the grumpy one to fulfil the Sunshine/Grumpy One trope. I’m ok with the trope if it’s well done but it isn’t well done in this case. He’s also instantly horny/desiring her despite not being interested in any other women prior her because of ✨work✨. I hate it. I might be too ace to get it but there most be more to get your attention than just a booty and long legs.
Book is also marketed as enemies to lovers, which it isn’t. It’s rivals to lovers at best but only because of the competition. Avery's behaviour when it comes to Luca prior the competition is just ridiculous. She’s upset with him because he didn’t held up the lift for her when she was already 45 minutes late to the meeting.
