The political intrigue, the queer normative world, and this unique Olympian universe Katee Robert has woven together in this series is what has me coming back each time. Overall, this was a good and enjoyable addition to the series. I was practically on the edge of my seat with the political suspense and all that plotting. The romance between Ariadne and the Minotaur, on the other hand, was just meh for me. There was something missing, and so their relationship just fell kind of flat for me. I really like their individual characters, though. Especially Ariadne. She is so quietly strong and badass. She really went there at the end. That epilogue already has me hooked for the next book. I'm looking forward to learning more about Icarus and the mysterious and elusive Poseidon. All in all, this is definitely worth checking out if you are already committed to this series.
