As i’ve begun working to reconcile my faith with my queerness, i wanted to find more stories of people like me, who grew up like me, and who know some of the things I’ve gone through. Rodgers did this perfectly. Her story is powerful and so deeply important to the discussions today about faith and the ways it can both damage and heal it’s members. This book is good for lgbt people and the communities they are in, to reconcile and learn to heal.
Graphic: Eating disorder, Homophobia, Self harm, Suicidal thoughts, and Religious bigotry
