I listened to this one so quickly.  I liked the world building and back story of Vandemere and his circle.  His troubled past with his mother and father play and important role in his development.  I loved the circus setting and all of the different interesting characters.  I am a sucker for paranormal stories-this one satisfied my needs!  Kyle Shive brings a light tone for the young Vandy.  I can't wait to listen to book 2 in the series!  Thank you NetGalley and Kimberley D.
