The Cheat Sheet by Sarah Adams
2.0
So I didn't have this book on my radar until I added Sarah Adams' 2024 release The Rule Book to my tbr, which is described as a companion novel to this book The Cheat Sheet. So I thought I would read it beforehand as I have previously really enjoyed When in Rome also by Sarah Adams. Well I can definitely see an improvement in her writing but that made this book quite difficult to get through.
I really didn't like these characters at all. They were incredibly juvenile and I was cringing at all of the dialogue, especially with Bree and her internal thoughts. I didn't connect with their personalities but I do admit they're great for each other and feel like their romance is natural, when they finally stop denying their feelings. This friends-to-lovers book just didn't work for me.
So overall I'm giving this book 2 stars and I do think that's being a tad generous as my enjoyment wasn't very high whilst reading this book, but I'm still looking forward to reading more from this author as I think her writing has significantly improved.
