Where was the chemistry? They were literally fighting for most of the book. They are both assholes to each other and honestly just need to work on themselves before dating. They just don’t work.
The book also dealt with a trope I despise in queer romances: one forcing the other to come out. It gets old very quickly and this book also just handled it very badly.
I just didn’t want them to get together for the entire book, which kills the romance aspect. The other struggles and themes were also not handled in an interesting way, so everything just fell flat.
I’m astounded that this book is popular.
