THIS BOOK WAS PERFECTION. Chef KISS. FIREWORKS.

I feel so thankful that I was able to receive an arc of this. I cannot wait for everyone else to read it. I definitely think this will be a favorite. Romance does a lot. It has the capacity to engage with a wide range of topics but I was surprised to see this one deal with the communication of holidays, collective bargaining, and being anti-monopoly. I think I was mostly surprised because the synopsis didn’t reveal that it would be anything like this.

It was funny, sweet, heartwarming, and also very moving. I hope that Raasch continues to write more adult because I thoroughly enjoyed this. Her dialogue work is really great, it’s something that I aspire to replicate as a writer myself. The characters were not only witty and snarky but they had so much depth. I really enjoyed the character work with this one so much.

Also, the romance was so believable because the chemistry was there!

This was a certified banger and I can’t wait for others to read.
