Finally got round to picking up book #2 in the When in Rome series after reading book #1 several months ago. And whilst I was hoping to prefer Practice Makes Perfect more, I think I actually preferred When in Rome as I didn't find PMP to be as unique as the first book.
I really like the main love interests, Annie and Will and together I think they are actually very well-suited despite their differences in personality.
I didn't like the 3rd act conflict in this book and how it was handled, I just didn't see the reasoning behind some of the choices by the characters.
I enjoy Sarah Adams' writing style and these are just escapist romance books that I always look forward to reading.
I just love the small town setting of Rome, Kentucky and I am really looking forward to the 3rd book coming in January 2025. If you also love small-town romance, I would recommend this series to you.
