I had high hopes for this novel because I enjoyed the first in the series so well. However, this one just fell flat to me. I gave it a good try, reading 41%, before deciding that the heroine was just not likeable for me. She is discontented with her life, keeps saying that she wants to make a change, but does nothing about it. She is embroiled in a texting relationship that may not be what it seems, but that relationship is ho-hum. To me, it wasn't compelling or exciting.

It was nice to see cameos from characters in the first book, but they did little to move the story forward.

I have too many books in my TBR pile to spend time on stories that don't interest me.
