William by Mason Coile
4.0
This book took turns I was NOT expecting and it honestly made it so exciting!
This is a story about AI: an AI house with AI inventions - a family navigating changes… until things start to go wrong.
- The idea of William was so cool, it is all way beyond my understanding of science and technology but like… so fascinating.
- The characters were a little flat. The plot was deep and intricate and exciting, but the characters left me kind of unattached for the most part. Especially Davis and Paige. Sorry guys.
- The concept of haunting combined with technological errors and malfunctions was actually so intriguing. It made me genuinely not know where we were going.
- I don’t know what I thought would happen but it wasn’t what DID happen. Some of these scenes were shockingly horrific (and therefore great)
- Every time a new little toy/invention was shown I just KNEW it would come back to haunt them.
- Paige was irritating from start to finish, and my opinion of her remains unchanged even after the entirety of the book/twists was revealed.
Thank you to the author and publisher for early access to this title.
