Forget Me Not by Julie Soto
5.0
My brain and heart are on overload right now. I will be thinking about this book forever.
Julie Soto is my new hero, this book was so wonderful I was so emotionally invested by the end I nearly cried happy tears.
A few thoughts (with spoilers)
- What a wonderful pair of leads. Like obviously they’re not perfect people, but I love both of them.
- Hazel and Jackie were so fun and I loved their story weaving in with the main story of Ama/Elliot
- Okay yeah I truly love when the man falls harder
- The spice level was just perfect, it was a main element of their not-relationship but it was never too much and felt completely balanced.
- The absolute CRINGE when the bathtub falls. I felt pain and had to pause to recover. So good but so painful.
- Elliot talking to Jackie on the wedding day and admitting that he counts down every day since the day Ama left is SO perfect - it gives so much meaning to the way every Elliot chapter was a flashback and recounted to the exact day.
