I loved this mostly because of Edin, honestly. I was so happy to read his story after meeting him in book one. Edin is hilarious and sassy, and I love it. His banter with all the characters is just so much fun and had me cackling. I liked getting to see Wyn and Danny again after what they had to go through in their book. Hunter was an interesting character to experience the story through. He isn't inherently likable, but also not unlikable. He feels real. He has been through it in his time in the military. He is hardened and doesn't easily trust. So, he is rather prickly at first. But we slowly watch that prickly facade melt away. The overarching story was interesting with the fighting ring. And I was quite morbidly happy to see Wyn get his revenge for Danny. All in all, this was a fun time, and I have been really enjoying this series so far.
