While the synopsis itself and the main ideas are great, the overall execution is bad.

It doesn’t make any sense to me that in a world in which children decide which gender(or rather sex) to choose -usually at the ages of 12-15- for the rest of their lives, heteronormativity is still such a big factor.
Although the best friends apologise to the main character for their blunt and dumb words in the middle of the manga, they just continue with their gender ideals right afterwards as if nothing happened.

The female best friend’s small background story is another disappointing plot because -yet again- it is based on and doesn‘t challenge gender stereotypes.
