Finally got to the oldest book on my tbr! I've been interested in this one for over 2 years and after being gifted a physical copy, I knew I wanted to get to this thriller ASAP and not leave it sit on my shelf for another 2 years.
Thankfully this thriller was exactly what I needed at the time. I was so invested in the plot, it's a difficult one to put down that's for sure. I also think that the character development in this story was done fantastically, usually I don't get as attached to characters in thrillers but this was really well crafted.
There were some parts that were a little too gruesome for me, and I'd recommend reading the content warnings as some parts caught me off guard.
I really enjoyed The Chain, also by Adrian McKinty, and there is just something about his thrillers that are so addictive with such high stakes.
