“I would follow your darkness, every ugly truth, across the skies and seas.”
The Ever Queen starts right after the ending of the 1st book – The Ever King and I’m so grateful to the fact there is a recap of the 1st book at the beginning which is perfect for readers like me who rarely re-read the previous book!!
I really enjoy this sequel, it’s very well written with the perfect balance between action and emotional moments.
The plot gets even more interesting, as we get to know more about the villain’s background story we are also introduced to a new set of characters – the elven.
The characters are loveable and well developed right from the main to the secondary characters.
I absolutely love seeing Erik’s crew and Livia’s family and friends get together and put aside their differences to save Livia and defeat the villain.
I really like seeing Livia becomes even fiercer and shows her power as Queen and I admire Erik in fighting his way through anything to save his wife!
The last battle scene was epic that I couldn’t put this book down! After all the struggle and pain, everyone got the ending they deserved.
I also love that last part in the epilogue which gives us a glimpse of who is gonna be the main couple for the next book!
Overall, Erik and Livia’s story ended beautifully and the bonus scene I got from the author is very sweet, I would like to see more of that!
This duology is highly enjoyable, entertaining and recommended for NA fantasy romance lovers!
I’m definitely looking forward to read the next book set in this universe where I think we'll get to explore more about the elven!
Thank you to Book of Matches Media and the author for giving me an e-ARC of the book and for having me on this book tour. I’m leaving this review voluntarily!
