This took me a little longer than usual to get through so of course I've already forgotten a lot about it... I liked it overall, and the epilogue was a truly excellent way to wrap up this quartet. The quartet follows a group of four female friends who are all suffragists, and the epilogue sees them all still close many years later and we get to see a bit of their families.

The FMC's disconnect from her own feelings made it hard to relate to her, IMHO, but she was still a very likeable character. She's super smart and has a strong moral compass. MMC was a good dude with a kind heart, although sometimes prideful (in a way that's kind of hard to avoid in a Victorian era man).

🎧 The book is dual POV but only one narrator. This whole series was narrated very well by Elizabeth Jasicki.

🌶️ 3.5/5 There were a handful of explicit encounters and the chemistry was good but it was nothing earth shattering.

🏳️‍🌈✊ The FMC is neurodivergent; she has an analytical mind, is a bit removed from her emotions, and deals with sensory sensitivities. She's also queer: she has previously fallen in puppy love with both male and female friends. She is Scottish, and an earl's daughter. The MMC is Lebanese (but Christian--Maronite). He was educated in Western schools and comes from a wealthy merchant family.
