FLEW through this dark and tense thriller — i was disgusted and intrigued and heartbroken while reading it so it’s hard to say i recommend it… but wow, it had me HOOKED. if you like stories where girls go missing and men are evil and badass female detectives figure ish OUT like nobody else can, this is the book for you! but woof, it was hard to read at times. 

this is MY KIND OF ROMANCE 🥰🔥🏒 she’s driven and focused on getting into grad school, he’s a flirt and captain of the hockey team. she hates hockey, but it turns out he’s who she has to work with to get her research done for her application. there’s simmering tension, a lot of pesky provoking, and of COURSE underlying attraction. nooooothing to see here… 😏

read this in one sitting and loved it and can’t wait for book #2!

this one has mystery and magic, brujos and best friends, cemeteries and coming of age drama, family dynamics and found family goodness, día de los muertos and destiny… it was beautiful and tender and rich, full of yearning and becoming and evolving.
