Ah, so Lover Awakened was right at a 4.5. What was keeping me from championing a complete 5 star review was that I felt there were one too many give and take scenes from Z and Bella, one too many miscommunications, and the thing with X, O, and U all vying for power...one too many hat changes there, as well.
That being said, I did mark this a 5 because of Zsadist's story. The author really did a beautiful job with slowly peeling back his layers and letting us understand his history. The flashbacks...heart breakers.
I was a little disappointed in one of the Brothers at the end and how he reacted, but I am sure JRW will atone for that in his book. There are a lot of loose ends here, that I am more than happy to continue the journey to tie up. So far, Z's got my heart. Let's see what the other Brothers have...

All in all, I rate Lover Revealed at 4.5 stars. The BDB is a bit formulatic, but I'm not mad at it. I like the angst. There was quite a bit of miscommunication and indecision between Butch and Marissa-perhaps the most in all of the BDB so far. I'm not sure what that says about me, other than I'm an angst-lover.
What I didn't like:
Occasionally, there are POV changes that make me do a double-take to realize there has been a change, but this is due to the formatting of the eBook.
I wished X had the hard edge/drama/twisted mentality that O had in Lover Awakened. X is a bit...bland. As a villain, he's simply...there. I feel there was an opportunity to really delve into his psyche when he realized who Butch was, but I felt that X was glanced over. In Lover Awakened, O had some serious issues and I enjoyed his sick ways...again...maybe I'm a little twisted myself. I just had hoped we would reach that level with X at this point.
Regardless of that little tidbit, I keep finger swiping my Kindle, so JRW is keeping me interested and that's what it's all about for me. So...onto Vishous!

I think JLA could write a dissertation on the mating habits of squirrels and I would read it. Those that have come to love her snarky heroines and oh, my gawd sexy as hell heroes won't be disappointed. There are the the usual hi-jinks of miscommunication, heartache, and fan-yourself-down sex scenes that I've come to adore with her writing style. My only complaint is that I figured out the villain and all his shenanigans pretty early on, but Reece made up for the lack of surprise. Seriously....hawt!

AH...5 stars! Lover Eternal had the missing element of deep/dark emotion that I felt Dark Lover lacked. And John's story? I wanted to cry with him when he finally let go at the end. Can't wait to see his transition and so very excited about Zsadist's story in Lover Awakened.
Confessions Of The Perfect Mom: Baby and Toddler Years by Kat Ryan

I loved this book! Such a quick, fun read and so very on point. Kat compartmentalizes every aspect of being a mommy in such a great way that there are laughs, head nods, been-theres, and, yes, even a little bit of tears. I can't tell you how many times I laughed out loud. The Poo and Breastfeeding Chapters...awesomeness! I, myself, have three daughters, and my experiences were so similar to Kat's, it was a little creepy. Honestly, it was like Kat had hijacked my every "mom thought" I ever had and wrote about it. You know those books "What to Expect...", add Confessions Of The Perfect Mom: Baby and Toddler Years to your MUST-READ list. If you're not a mom yet, you will thank me. If you are a mom, you will say, "Thank goodness. It's not just me."
