unfortunately did not like this one :( the story felt very flat and i couldn’t feel much of a connection between the characters. i’ve enjoyed her other books so far and had high hopes for this one, esp after book 1 but it didn’t meet my expectations. still looking forward to whatever comes next though!

another solid delivery by elle kennedy! diana and shane had great chemistry and i loved the banter between them. the concept involving the HOA and their little neighbourhood was really fun and unique. i marked down b/c wow am really beginning to see the over exaggeration of height differences and 🍆 length and um… lol……. also— while there was no third act break up there definitely was a third act something and it felt like it just came outta no where and kinda hit you like a truck. though i can kind of understand the reasoning behind why it was included, it at least felt unnecessary. i’m still forever rooting for a beckett and will book they have had an amazing dynamic since the graham effect and i’m dying to read more of them

mixed feelings after reading this— intro had lots of good tension between sloane & xavier and the pacing was good. however, when you add in the rest of the book, it seems kind of out of place. as you keep reading the pacing slows down and the chemistry between them isn’t as intense as the introduction. other than that, it was a fun read! loved that there were features across all books including twisted series, ana huang multiverse went crazy. glad i picked it up on release day i love you kindle unlimited 

ohmygod omg omgomg holy shit. first half was the dragon school we all know and love was enjoyable seeing how their second year went on and what happened following the first book. then second half and oh man there was so much happening. the story’s pacing was definitely slower than the first as we’re now entering the middle of the series. the second half seemed less cohesive than the first half, i don’t really know where the story is going anymore but i guess that is to be found out more definitively in the next book. violet and xaden disagreement dragged out for way longer than i would have liked idk it got kinda repetitive. lots of secrets uncovered was like wow every single time

was not a fan of the one at the end though UGHHHHHH rebbeca you better do something good with it please just give violet and xaden a bit of peace in their relationship i’m begging you

The premise of the story was cute though I couldn’t feel the connection between Wade and Elijah. I kept reading in hopes of seeing their relationship develop but it never really happened. 

not a critique but i just wanted to say that i didn’t like ‘whoops’ spelled as ‘woops’ 🤷🏻‍♀️
